I am learning how to knit?

Often crochet is done with smaller yarn or thread. Knitting can be done on very large needles using larger yarn. I do both as well. There are uses for both so it's nice to know both. The stitches are not alike so doing an afghan in both crochet and knit will have very different looking results. Either would be very lovely - just depends on the look you are going for. It's nice to know both - so if one becomes a little boring you can switch to the other. Knowing one before the other gives you an idea of threads and yarns and things required.
