Japanese animated children's movie from the '90's. cant remember!!?

Ok this description is kinda faint in my memory but its driving me insane cuz I loved it as a kid. Its about a little girl who moves in with her father I believe when her mother becomes sick. At this house these magical things would happen at night. These big fluffy animals would come out and she took a bus that turned into a cat and some of the animals could fly but all of this revolved around this huge tree in the back yard. Haha I know it sounds crazy but somebody has to know what I'm talking about! Help!
