The name of this Ps2 Game?

I am looking for a game i played on either playstation 1 or playstation 2 when i was younger it was around 1999-2000 and in the game you obtained different creatures and mixed them together to make other creatures. Sadly that is about all the description I have. If I think of more I will post more
