How to make a striped scarf?

If you cannot knit how about using Polar fleece available in most fabric stores in a wide variety of colours. Some Polar fleece looks the same on the front as the back. You can cut the strips as wide as you wish and sew them together with an overlocker. You could make it double the width you want and then turn it inside out and sew the scarf length seam then turn it the right way out and no seams will show. You can trim the ends if you wish with tassles. If you need more details let me know.
