Does the US Constitution guarantee free speech for anyone/everyone?

The problem with the whole freedom of speech thing is that some people think it translates into every aspect of life. Like they think you can cuss out your boss or teacher with no repercussions. The first amendment ONLY applies to the government not interferring with your freedom of speech, it does not apply to your personal life & work.
