Beowulf as an epic hero?

Ten lines isn't much. You need to think of the brave things Beowuf did. He killed Grendel, and he tried to kill the dragon. As I remember Beowuf doesn't rhyme but it does have a rhythm. (Read a line out loud and clap the beats.) You can spend two lines on praising Beowulf -- "Noble hero, savior of our land" "Mighty warrior, slayer of monsters" or whatever. Then you can spend a few lines on each of his great deeds. Describe what Grendel did and how Beowulf finally killed him. "Hideous soldier slayer, bloody arm ripper" and then maybe praise Beowulf for trying to kill the dragon even though he was past it. Refer to the poem for details.
