Advise For Making A Abridged Anime?

My only advise is don't kill the anime. Try just letting the jokes come naturally and original. If you guys have all seen the anime then you might have inside jokes about some characters/events or there are things from anime that can be play on lines to a joke. Im not trying to me rude. Honest. But I tried watching a Death Note abridge series and god it was horribly voiced and the jokes weren't even the slightest funny. On the other hand, there was a Naruto abridged series I saw and it was hilarious because they played off the fact that Sasuke was "emo" and Sakura was a bipolar violent chick.
